The gap between Targi Kielce – which has as yet been in the lead in the ministerial ranking of 140 projects entered for the competition for a nation-wide promotional campaign – and the University in Olsztyn is decreasing considerably. Inhabitants of Olsztyn are gaining at least 200 votes every hour, while Targi Kielce is getting just tens of them.
The threatened position of the leader in the competition of the Ministry of Regional Development for the most interesting investment projects subsidized by the European Union may result in the chance for the promotional campaign in opinion-forming weeklies such as Wprost, Newsweek and Polityka being lost not only for the fair organizer, but also for Kielce itself. It wasn't a long time ago that Targi Kielce's only serious competitor was the Higher Police School in Szczytno. Now, however, it is the University in Olsztyn that is coming second. "What we need is a stronger involvement on the part of Internet users, who has been supporting us very strongly for a week, since the beginning of the competition, voting for us, anyway", says president of Targi Kielce, Andrzej Mochoń. “Thanks to them we have been in the lead, but our supremacy is continuously dwindling away. We should also bear in mind that we are fighting for promotion, as the finance for development has already been allocated."

We should remember that money for the promotion of the investment has also aroused interest of other projects located in Kielce, including road construction projects (By the way: what use is there in advertising a road?). However, it is Targi Kielce, which has for many years been the best showcase of Kielce, that stands the biggest chance of winning. Regrettably, there is every likelihood that the saying "two dogs fight for a bone, and a third runs away with it" will prove correct. Thus, there are a few projects located in Kielce which have been entered for the competition, and the winner will be located in Olsztyn...

The rules of the competition are simple: at the website www.przymierzsie.pl there are descriptions of almost 140 investment projects to be implemented with support provided by the Eastern Poland Development Programme. Each of them can be voted for until 17 October.
