Targi Kielce expands Asian cooperation. Fruitful talks in Taiwan
In June, Targi Kielce was the only Polish centre to sign an agreement with TAITRA, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council; the leading and organisation whose business scope encompasses Taiwan’s foreign trade. TAITRA cooperates with the Taiwanese government, enterprises and trade associations. The agreement is already yielding results. The Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Cyryl Kozaczewski, director of the Polish Office in Taipei, have also joined in preparing the meetings in Taiwan.
In September TaipeiPlas, i.e. Taipei International Plastics and Rubber Industry Show, was attended by representatives of the task force of the Plastpol International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing. They held numerous business talks with prospective exhibitors and discussed the situation in the international industry over the course of five days. Targi Kielce was also promoted during Energy Taiwan & Net Zero Taiwan 2024, early October at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre; the largest trade fair related to renewable energy and zero-emission technologies in this region of Asia.
The meetings between Andrzej Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce, and Joanna Marcjan, deputy director of the trade fair department, with industry associations whose activities are related to the events organised at Targi Kielce also proved fruitful.
– We presented our centre and a number of our events. Of course, we also talked about the attractiveness of Poland for companies from Taiwan, focused primarily on the possibility of attracting companies from Asia to our centre, says Andrzej Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce. – Moreover, we also signed cooperation agreements with two institutions;
with MY Exhibition, which specialises in organising large international exhibitions and conferences in Taiwan, and among them Taiwan Smart Agriweek. We will focus on the Agrotech agricultural technology fair. WES Expo, which is the parent company of MY Exhibition and acts as the exclusive sales representative of RX Global in the Taiwan region, established cooperation on acquiring exhibitors for Agrotech, the My TexStyle - textile industry fair and the Slavic B2Beauty cosmetics industry contracting.
- We will also encourage Polish companies to participate in trade fairs in Taiwan, and thus open up the markets of broadly defined Asia to Polish entrepreneurs - emphasises Joanna Marcjan.
Meetings with representatives of organisations related to the exhibition industry were also fruitful. - We met specialists from Taiwan Toy & Children's Article Manufacturers Association and talked about the participation of Asian companies in the children's industry trade fair Kids' Time. Experts from Taiwan Environmental Manufactures Association discussed mutual with us cooperation within the framework of the environmental protection and waste management Ekotech and renewable energy sources Enex – reports Joanna Marcjan.
Experts from Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association presented opportunities for cooperation at the STOM metalworking show. Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) representatives offered support at the Plastpol and My TexStyle plastics and rubber processing trade fairs.
- I am encouraged by the conversation with the TAITRA team, especially with its head Simon Wang, with whom we signed a cooperation agreement in June. Simon Wang assured us of the next important steps for us and further business cooperation. I can also speak with satisfaction about the meeting with Cyryl Kozaczewski, director of the Polish Office in Taiwan - Targi Kielce is definitely strengthening its position in Asia – recapitulates President Andrzej Mochoń.
