Targi Kielce signed the contract with TAITRA
TAITRA, i.e. Taiwan External Trade Development Council, is the leading and organisation whose business scope encompasses Taiwan’s foreign trade. TAITRA cooperates with the Taiwanese government, enterprises and trade associations. TAITRA has boosted the global position of Taiwan, and advanced Taiwan to be one of the key players on the international market. Taiwan boasts dynamically developing export sector. TAITRA, headquartered in Taipei with a team of over 1,300 professionals, operates 5 local offices in Taiwan and 63 branches around the world. The Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) and the Taiwan Trade Center (TTC), TAITRA form a global network. Taiwan's international importance is mainly attributed to its dominant position in the semiconductor and other advanced technology industries.
When signing the agreement, the Targi Kielce president of the management board, Andrzej Mochoń PhD., and Simon Wang, head of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, emphasised that the agreement will strengthen economic relations between the Polish and Taiwanese industries.
- Taiwan is a global player not only in the production of semiconductors and the electronics, but also in the production of industrial machinery and equipment, chemicals and plastics industries, the arms industry, and in production targeted at child products and services business sector. Targi Kielce holds events crafted around these industries. Most expos have established their significant position in the international arena. Therefore, we have chosen the Kielce exhibition and congress centre as our cooperation partner. This choice will further contribute to strengthening our activities on the global market - says Simon Wang, head of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.
Targi Kielce, the Central and Eastern Europe’s runner-up in the exhibition industry, was the only Polish centre with which TAITRA signed an agreement at Taiwan Expo in Berlin. – We are joining the group of Europe’s leaders cooperating with Taiwan - emphasised the president of the management board of Targi Kielce, Doctor Andrzej Mochoń, after signing the agreement.. As he explains, Taiwanese companies have already participated in Kielce B2B expo for many years. Enhanced cooperation with a powerful Asian organisation encompasses the International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO, the Plastpol Plastics and Rubber Processing Fair, the metal processing expo STOM, Enex, which focuses on renewable energy sources, the In-Pack - packaging industry show, and the Kids' Time - the child products and services business sector.
– Cooperation with TAITRA will contribute to the business development of our exhibitors and Taiwanese enterprises – explains Doctor Andrzej Mochoń. – The spring Enex and Plastpol already hosted TAITRA representatives, who met exhibitors and visitors at their expo stand. In the autumn, Targi Kielce representatives will participate in Taipei Plas, an international trade fair for the plastics industry, and Energy Taiwan, the largest energy industry event in Taiwan. Our teams will promote events and encourage to participate; new exhibitors and visitors from Taiwan are a great prospect and a chance to boost new business relations with all our event participants - emphasises the head of the Kielce exhibition and congress centre.
Joint activities of Targi Kielce and TAITRA
Under the agreement, Targi Kielce and TAITRA agreed to undertake several initiatives, including exchange of information necessary to create new export and investment opportunities, support related to logistics and advice on market specifics. The agreement also stipulates mutual expo promotion; the centres’ representatives will also arrange economic missions in Poland and Taiwan. The visits aim to develop cooperation and start joint economic ventures. Importantly, meetings and seminars for entrepreneurs are held in both countries. The sessions aim to inform business people and entrepreneurs about investment opportunities, joint ventures and the benefits of mutual trade.
Targi Kielce enhanced international activities
The agreement with TAITRA is another agreement Targi Kielce has established since the beginning of the year. In February, the centre signed the agreement with Qatar's Dar Al-Sharq, a leading exhibition and media conglomerate in the Gulf region. The partners are preparing a mission; applications from producers and buyers from Poland who intend to participate in the Kids Expo in 2024 autumn in the capital of Qatar, Doha are being now processed. The second edition of the religious industry expo - Sacroexpo Slovakia is also being prepared. Sacroexpo Slovakia is co-organised by Targi Kielce and Incheba Expo Bratislava in September.
- Trade expo in Poland and Europe are experiencing a post-COVID renaissance, as indicated by Polish and global industry reports. In 2023, our centre rebuilt its trade expo business and returned to the level comparable to the pre-pandemic period. Almost all trade expo parameters: i.e. the number of exhibitors, visitors, rented space, and revenue of 134 percent compared to 2019. In 2023 Targi Kielce hosted 320,000 visitors and guests as well as 4,240 exhibitors from nearly 60 countries. By the end of May 2024, we hosted over 160,000 people, the number of exhibitors exceeded 3,000, they came to us from nearly 40 countries. Enterprises from all over the world want to participate in our events and want to develop; by creating strong relationships between Targi Kielce and global business organisations, we create new opportunities for international cooperation for our exhibitors and visitors - emphasises Doctor Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce.
