Agrotech and Las-Expo – intelligent technologies
Leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery, innovative precision farming technologies, all means of production and representatives of scientific institutes, agricultural institutions and organizations attend the jubilee International Agricultural Technology Fair. A unique feature of Agrotech is the comprehensiveness of the offer for farmers; machines, knowledge how to use equipment, information about subsidies with which they can be purchased are crucial for the development of automation, robotics, precision farming, artificial intelligence and sustainable technologies.
Inthe the expo halls and outdoor exhibition grounds, event guests can learn about the latest solutions in precision farming, automation and robotics, which increase work efficiency and optimise the costs of running a farm.
You can see combine harvesters, tractors, telescopic handlers, powerful cultivation and forage machines, sprayers, trailers, and spreaders.
Las-Expo is dedicated to forestry and the timber industry. Visitors can see harvesters, chippers, chainsaws, forestry trailers and innovative wood processing equipment. Live demonstrations of machines in action are an opportunity for people involved in forestry to learn about the capabilities and precision of these devices.
It has been 30 years
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski - the 30th anniversary of the Agrotech International Agricultural Technology Fair was an excellent opportunity to reminisce.
- It all started in the early 1990s, when important institutions in the field of agriculture were established, which began to shape the necessary changes. All this was related to the need for transformations, but also to our preparations for Poland's accession to the European Union; precisely then that Targi Kielce showed the right path of change. People also make the history of changes in agriculture and the Polish economy, advancing it in a very modern direction. I sincerely thank you for this and congratulate - said Czesław Siekierski. - However, there is still a lot of work ahead , because despite these changes and achievements, there are still many problems and challenges facing Poland. One of these problems is the decline in the number of people willing to work in agriculture. Hence, there is a great need for continued technological advancement and innovations that will significantly reduce human labour input. Therefore, there is truly much to thank you for. I hope you will continue to do so in the future - added the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce, Andrzej Mochoń, emphasised the importance of the Agrotech fair for the development of agricultural technology and knowledge transfer. However, the success of the show was not decided - he said
- At the turn of the 1990s and 2000s, the then management of the trade fair centre wondered whether to stop organising this event. Agrotech could not expand beyond two halls. But for the determination of the project team led by director Kamil Perz, if it were not for the involvement of companies, research institutes and agricultural institutions, if it were not for the prospect of Poland joining the European Union, the fate of Agrotech would be sealed. He said the market situation supported by EU funds is one of the key forces driving the fair, but organizational commitment is also important. - When in 2006 I was again entrusted with managing the company, I found two halls in which trade fairs were organised; the other four were rented. We made a clear decision: "we have to develop, we keep focusing on trade fairs." We terminated the lease agreements. The seventh expo hall was built and then the entrance terminals, the Congress Center, and a multi-storey car park. These were high-risk decisions; but as you can see, the resolution was fully justified! Today, exhibitors, visitors, and guests from six continents come to us, said the president of the Management Board of Targi Kielce.
