The international dimension of accounting and bookkeeping preseten at MKBR
The first panel of the 3rd International Congress of Accounting Offices focussed on business and foreign relations of accounting offices. Entities and sectors the accounting industry cooperates most easily were also discussed - these are young people, trade and the IT industry.
Capital has no nationality
Jacek Bajson, Łukasz Mazur and Łukasz Bystrzyński showed how to use foreign solutions, equipment and capital effectively. All the participants of the moderated panel concluded that international business scaling is possible after determining the purpose of obtaining foreign capital and the size of business. Jacek Bajson, a tax advisor with 25 years of experience, emphasised that capital has no nationality and that there are two options for acquiring foreign resources: - The first variant consists the use the company's potential to capitalise its values and profits. No business shut-down; initiative is required. The other development is based on merging accounting offices on the local market - he stressed.
The second panellist - Łukasz Mazur emphasised that capital is not only money, but also knowledge, know-how and international contacts, a future share in accounting office networks.
Poland may be the centre of accounting and finance services on a global scale
Another idea used for acquiring capital and foreign contacts proposed at the International Congress of Accounting Offices is the use of Polish resources and technologies abroad. Exchangeable currency allows to scale business and enter foreign markets. In Poland there are already foreign groups and companies that already cooperate. Modern and intuitive Polish IT solutions and accounting software were put in the limelight.
Polish accounting offices, foreign clients and employee
The moderated panel devoted to the cooperation of Polish accounting offices with foreign clients indicated the most significant challenges and barriers for those wishing to establish partnership. Language barriers, difficulties resulting from the use of specialised language and a lack of understanding of the applicable legal provisions were the most frequently mentioned in addition to the maladjustment of websites, contracts and forms for foreign customers. Beata Boruszowska and Joanna Nguyen - representatives of dynamically developing accounting offices operating in Poland, discussed positive experiences in cooperation with foreign employees. They emphasised that the competences and experience of people from another country do not differ from the Poles’ skills.
The panels were moderated by Wiktor Doktór - President of Pro Progressio dealing with the development of the Modern Business Services sector. The 3rd International Congress of Accounting Offices lasts until Thursday, 27 October 2022.
