The latest technologies discussed at the Foundry Goes Green seminar

17 july 2024
Correct temperature measurements in heat treatment processes, the latest solutions in artificial intelligence domain catered for the foundry industry, current trends in the industry and methods of CO2 reduction - these are just some of the topics discussed during this year's Foundry Goes Green seminar. Presentations and lectures delivered by experts are held within the scope of the Industrial Autumn at Targi Kielce, 24-25 September 2024

– Great interest in the Foundry Goes Green seminar at the previous Metal Expo resulted in the decision that this year the seminar offers two days of content delivered for the whole duration of the expo – says project director Piotr Pawelec. This time features industry specialists discussing topics related to modern technologies used in the metallurgical sector, ecological aspects of the foundry business and current trends in the industry. The Foundry Goes Green is one of the most important events accompanying the International Fair of Technologies for Foundry Metal and the Heat Treatment, Recycling, Aluminum & Nonfermet and Control-Tech shows held simultaneously. The seminar is targeted at presidents, foundry directors and heads of development and technology departments.

The program includes presentations on the comprehensive digitisation of production processes, which are crucial for the modern 4.0 industry, correct temperature measurements, which are the key to high-quality heat treatment processes, technologies related to effective ventilation and safety, and the latest solutions in artificial intelligence serving the foundry industry. The Metal Expo will witness the announcement of the Smart Quality system for cast iron and pressure equipment - the system is used to optimise production processes using artificial intelligence.

The seminar's main objective is to promote new technologies designed to reduce CO2 emissions and economise energy consumption in foundry processes. With its high energy demand and emission intensity, the foundry industry faces the need to implement more ecological solutions, which will also allow for financial savings for enterprises.

– The seminar offers the participants the opportunity to learn about innovative foundry solutions; not only do they contribute to environmental protection, but they are also economically profitable. The speakers' list will include representatives of companies providing modern technologies, delegates from financial institutions, who will present the possibilities of financing the transformation of foundry plants - adds Piotr Pawelec. This event is an excellent opportunity to establish valuable business contacts, exchange experiences and learn about the latest trends and innovations in the foundry industry..
