The most important thing in a farmer's outfit ... the shoes. KRUS and Tomasz Klimkowski on work safety

- I have and have used the right clothes for various types of work. Our parents taught us from an early age what to pay attention to in order to perform work safely - said Tomasz Klimkowski, a famous farmer in Świętokrzyskie. Tiktoker supported the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund in promoting the principles of safe work during the Agrotech Expo.

The Kielce Regional Branch of the Farmers' Social Security Fund joined the Agrotech to organise an attractive form of presenting the principles related safe work. Competitions for children and adults were held from Sunday morning  and the contest entrants come in abundance. Proper answers were rewarded with gifts and gadgets. Tomasz Klimkowski, a farmer and popular influencer known on the Internet as "swietokrzyskirolnik", assisted KRUS in disseminating information. Tomasz presented three sets of clothes for different types of work - everyday outfit, for working with chainsaws, for works related to plant protection products.

 

Beata Milewicz, the prevention specialist in KRUS Kielce, discussed important elements of clothing. – A helmet, visor or glasses, ear protection devices, reinforced shoes and gloves ... Each part is important for protecting life and health - she said. Tadeusz Jakubowski, director of the Kielce branch of KRUS, emphasised that the Agrotech expo offers a great opportunity to remind farmers that it is worth taking care of their safety and being especially careful in every task. This reminder comes at the start of the new season.   

 

Tomasz, a young farmer from Świętokrzyskie, pointed out that he has been learning the rules of safe work from an early age. - Our parents taught us to be careful. I have such clothes at home, and of course, I use them accordingly. My shoes are the most important thing for me as they protect me against impact, bruises sprains ... - he explained.

Sunday is the last day of the Agrotech agricultural technology fair and the Las-Expo forest management fair. The shows started on Friday. Four hundred fifty exhibitors from 15 countries and plenty of attractions await visitors, e.g. presentation of safe clothing for a farmer featuring Tomasz Klimkowski.
