The new infrastructure constructions season is now open
According to the Rzeczpospolita daily, the new road-construction season marks the continuation of road works on 76 sections of the total length of over 970 km. There are now 103 investments under the National Road Construction Programme (PBDK) of a total length of 1,329 km. Last year, nearly 138 km of road-stretches were completed. Thus, the presented data indicates three-times higher execution compared to the previous year—the expenditure on the implementation of contracts - nearly PLN 1 billion higher than the year before.
In addition to the existing investments and expressways’ construction, new tenders are also in the pipeline - however, the development of the pandemic situation may determine the investments. Along with the increase in the number of disease cases, the progress may slow down and thus negatively impact construction works.
