The official opening of the fair and the awarding ceremony - the SACROEXPO
The 22nd International Exhibition of Church Construction, Church Fittings and Furnishings and Religious Art SACROEXPO is Central and Eastern Europe's most important business event for church, sacral art, products and services. The event, which continues for three days, is a showcase for 172 exhibitors from 8 countries.
The guests who graced the ceremony with their presence: HE . Grzegorz Ryś PhD. - the Metropolitan Archbishop of Lodz, HE Jan Piotrowski -PhD. Bishop of the Diocese of Kielce, Rafał Nowak - Vice-Voivode of Świętokrzyskie, Bogdan Wenta - Mayor of the City of Kielce, Piotr Wawrzyk PhD. Hab - Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Krzysztof Słoń - Republic of Poland Senator
- We have not lost our faith that this year's exhibition will also be exceptional. We have always believed that the expo will be held as planned. For us, not only does the expo mean the possibility of carrying out the tasks to which we are appointed to, the opportunity to work and earn. This also means that we await the end of the pandemic with optimism - said Andrzej Mochoń, PhD, President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce. The Deputy Voivode of Świętokrzyskie Province, Rafał Nowak, also expressed hope that the pandemic would be over quickly. Bogdan Wenta referred to last year's edition of the Sacroexpo: - Last year we met in Kielce despite the pandemic. Together, we were able to adapt the exhibition facilities to the most critical security and safety standards (...). and provide our guests with a sense of security. This year brings richer experience for all of us (...) For several weeks now, the expo centre has successfully welcomed the business milieus, which makes us proud (...) I believe that the worst in this struggle, in the hurdle we have faced, is already over - said the Mayor of Kielce.
During the opening ceremony, the best expo stand prizes were awarded - this recognises the expo arrangement and for the best products showcased at the exhibition. The TOP DESIGN 2021 for the elegance and innovative style of the trade fair presentation went to: Haftina Atlier Ornaty.pl and Krakowski Stained Glass Workshop SG Żeleński, and the awards for the original presentation of the company went to Garden Spot and Axencia Turismo De Galicia.
The distinctions for the best products showcased at the trade fair went to Garden Spot Int and Bracia Dąbrowski. The medals in the same category were awarded the Kruszewski Brothers Bell Foundry.
Medals of honour were also awarded during the ceremony. Honorary MEdal of HE Primate, Fr. Józef Cardinal Glemp was awarded to JM Tradycja Jarosław Kupryjaniuk from Białystok for the paintings of Our Lady of Częstochowa presented as multi-generational images. The Honorary Prize of its Excellence Bishop Of Kielce Jan Piotrowski was awarded to the company Jakóbczak Studio for a glass mosaic with the image of the Holy Spirit. Honorary Medal of His Excellence Primate Archbishop Wojciech Polak was awarded to the AVGUL stained glass company for the innovative use of old technologies in stained glass making.
The opening ceremony was accompanied by the award of the medal of the Pontifical Council for Culture. The distinction was bestowed to one of the greatest Polish poets - Ernest Bryll.
