The second show of non-governmental organisations - NGO - EXPO will gather social activists from all over the country
Targi Kielce host the NGO-EXPO National Fair of Non-Governmental Organisations on 29 and 30 June. Volunteers, social activists, members of associations, foundations, Farmers-Wife Country Clubs, experts related to the third sector will present their activities and share their experiences. There will be interesting workshops, lectures, shows and artistic performances.
- The great success of the first NGOs EXPO, organised in Targi Kielce under the patronage of Professor Piotr Gliński, chairman of the Committee for Public Benefit, it's time for the second event's unveiling. Last year, the space was used by 70 stands. The event hosted 1,800 people, now we have about 150 exhibitors, and we expect even more visitors - said Wojciech Kaczmarczyk, Director of the National Freedom Institute, one of the organisers of the event.
The press conference announcing the exhibition was held on Monday in the Sigma Hall, i.e. in the viewing tower of the Targi Kielce Congress Centre.
As announced by the Director of the National Freedom Institute, the show will be divided into zones. Individual groups will occupy subject-dedicated zones. Volunteer fire brigades, entities involved in sports, culture, social activities, those that work with people with disabilities and youth will have their sections.
- Targi Kielce is one of the largest Polish exhibition institutions, which is essential for non-governmental organisations. Big companies and big business enterprises convene here. Now this is the arena for NGO - emphasised Director Wojciech Kaczmarczyk.
The President of Targi Kielce, Andrzej Mochoń PhD., assured that the Kielce exhibition and congress centre is an ideal place to hold the NGO-EXPO . - I am convinced that we are the best, because expos are much more than business for us. We like to organise expos and we will also prepare this exhibition - we are ready to go the extra mile – emphasized Andrzej Mochoń PhD.
The press conference was also attended by Senator Krzysztof Słoń, Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Andrzej Bętkowski and Deputy Marshal Renata Janik, who emphasised that the NGO-EXPO is a presentation of the richness and diversity of the organiations' activities.
As they pointed out, the exhibition serves the purpose of exchanging experiences, establishing cooperation and developing activities.
- For us, non-governmental organisations, this expo is very important. We need a venue for groups from all over Poland to be able to build mutual relations and present their activities. We will also train in raising funds for statutory activities - said Andrzej Dubiel, president of the Muza Dei Association.
The organisers are preparing interesting workshops, debates, competitions and artistic performances. The youngest will also find something to their taste! A special play area will be created with them in mind.
