 Čičmany is known for its original ornaments painted on wooden houses which look just like gingerbread houses - this is certainly to everyone’s liking.  Rafting  near the Strecno Castle or the Orava Castle is an experience for a whole family.

Tourism lovers can nurture their passion for mountain hiking in Janosikowe Diers in Terchowa, on the Roháče ridges and in Demänovská Cave. UNESCO monuments lovers find the genuine Vlkolinec village  near Ruzomberok as well as the wooden churches ideal places for visiting.
