Trends in the private label industry. An "awakening" is on the horizon

Once treated as a cheaper substitute, private labels are now becoming increasingly popular among consumers and have a real impact on markets’ development. More and more Poles declare that they buy more private label products than ever before

The FMCG market changes that we have been observing for some time now are described by Private Label Expo experts as the "awakening of the industry". Importantly, the growing popularity of private label products is influenced not only by the increase in food prices and Poles' savings, but also by the ability of producers in this segment to adapt to main consumer trends. Trends require that the products offer a good composition, a variety of flavours. What is also required is a comprehensive effect that meets the needs of a vegetarian and vegan diet. Przemysław Korotusz, Junior Analytics Consultant from Retail Services NielsenIQ, presented at the Private Label Expo and talked about trends in the production of private labels in the coming years.
