Turkish pigeons show off at Targi Kielce’s events
In addition to interesting specimens of pedigree pigeons, ornamental poultry and rabbits on show, this year's National Exhibition of Pedigree Pigeons and Small Livestock abounds with edge-of-the-seat demosntrations
These birds fly in a very characteristic manner, because they take off from a kind of a landing pad, fly quite high and plunge at high speed. Just like hawks in a "raid" around the landing pad. After a somersault they hover vertically, clap their wings, fly away further on. Then "droppers - decoys" for pigeons are used to make them land. Piotr Styczyński organised shows during the National Exhibition of Pedigree Pigeons and Small Livestock in Targi Kielce - he is the one who has taught his birds to return directly to the cage. Turkish pigeon flight shows can be admired at the trade fair today and tomorrow.
