German Lions defeated in the extra time in the “wild card contest”

Just few minutes before the extra time end the left-side playmaker of Vive Targi Kielce, Michał Jurecki stirred the handball fans to give the team more support

We defeated the powerful handball team 32:30 after the two regular game halves had finished with the 27:27 draw. Thousands of handball fans who gathered at the tribunes had expected that the match would be the source of great emotions, but the tournament in Kielce rose much above their expectations. The audience was overwhelmed with joy.

The greatest number of goals for Vive Targi Kielce was scored by the new team member; the world championship bronze medal winner and a double Europe runner-up Denis Buntić. The goal keepers - Marcus Cleverly and Sławomir „Kasa” Szmal were also magnificent; the latter played in Rhein-Neckar Loewen only in June.

Owing to Sunday’s victory the players Bogdan Venta; the Vive Targi Kielce and national handball team coach is in charge of, for the third time have qualified to the group round of the prestigious Champions League. The yellow-white-blue team has foud its place in the B group and hey will play their first match with the Hungarian MKB Veszprem KC quite son – on 28th September.

In the semi-finals of the “wild card” tournament the Vive Targi Kielce team has defeated the Spanish team of Valladolid, and the German Rhein Neckar won with the French Dunkirk. The match for the third place in the tournament was won by Dunkerque HB Grand Littoral.
