WB GROUP premieres and novelties showcased at MSPO 2021

16 august 2021
The Mazowieckie-based company joins Targi Kielce's show and presents its hybrid version of the FT-5 multi-task unmanned system, as well as the complete family of remotely controlled weapon stations

The representatives of WB GROUP announced, this year's International Defence Industry Exhibition  offers its visitors the chance to see a whole range of new products. A multi-layered W2MPIR system designed to suppress enemy air/missile defence systems.  What is worth noting is the fact that it was constructed by Polish engineers. The system's effective operation is ensured by a wide range of unmanned aerial vehicles such as  FlyEye and FT5 as well as Warmate, Warmate 2 loitering munitions.  Loitering munitions is especially useful for soldiers who are involved in highly specialised combat tasks,  as this kind of munitions may stay in the air for up to an hour before it is used against a specific target.  Owing to this technology, soldiers do not have to carry unmanned aerial vehicles themselves and can fully focus on the task at hand. The system does not require high financial outlays to produce.  However, the ability to destroy much more expensive and more advanced equipment is its unquestionable advantage.

WB Group also uses the expo to present a modern version of the unmanned aerial vehicle - FT-5,  manufactured by Flytronic, based in Gliwice. The hybrid solution increases the flight endurance up to 4 hours; this is longer compared to the traditional version of the engine. As a result, the total working time of the FT-5 exceeds 10 hours. The maximum speed is 100-110 km / h, and the maximum altitude - about 5,000 meters. The aircraft range is 180 KM.

This MSPO edition will see the premiere of the multi-task remote-controlled ZSU weapons systems manufactured by the WB Group's  Arexa company. Each station features a light and compact design; they can be used on both stationary and mobile platforms.  Depending on the version, it can be equipped with machine guns, grenade launchers, or both at the same time. Target tracking can be performed with an automatic system as well as manual control fitted with a manipulator. Digital electric drives make the correct target location is quick and precise. MSPO is held from 7 to 10 September 2021.
