"Where NGOs operate, dialogue, cooperation and understanding are guaranteed." The only NGO-EXPO in the country has commenced
The Targi Kielce President emphasised the importance of face-to-face meetings for socio-economic life's development. – During the pandemic, it was said that meetings would be moved online, nothing could be more wrong. Nothing can replace people's direct meetings. Trade fairs, not only in Poland, but also throughout Europe, are experiencing a boom - emphasised Andrzej Mochoń PhD. – So, ladies and gentlemen, this event is in for an excellent future.
Targi Kielce's E and F expo halls host foundations, associations, senior citizens' clubs, professional activation centres, farmer's housewives' associations and many other non-governmental organisations from all over Poland. The purpose of this meeting, as explained by Wojciech Kaczmarczyk, Director of the National Freedom Institute - Centre for Civil Society, is to present the achievements and products of this work. - Organisations establish contact and understanding, learn from each other, here they have space to create cooperation on a large scale - he explained. - Our dream keeps growing.
Deputy Prime Minister Professor Piotr Gliński, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, has played a significant role in creating the idea and the very implementation of the expo for non-governmental organisations. In his address to those gathered at the official opening, the Minister writes: - Where NGOs operate, dialogue, cooperation and understanding are guaranteed." The very fact that we can organise ourselves in an effective, professional and efficient way, that we act for the public benefit is the sense and principle of non-governmental organisations - quoted Jarosław Czuba, Director General at the Ministry.
The 2nd National NGO Expo is held on Thursday and Friday, 29 and 30, June in Targi Kielce. The exhibition is accompanied by numerous trainings and workshops for social activists and all participants of the event. Admission - free.
