Following the previous editions' example, one of Poland's regions is the AGROTRAVEL's partner regions. At the 6th International Fair of Rural and Agricultural Tourism AGROTRAVEL Wielkopolska will play a truly signifficant role. The region's achievements in tourism have thus been recognised.

Wielkopolska played a significant role in Poland's history and at the beginnings of the state in particular - this was the place Polish statehood finds its roots. According to historic data Poland of the Piasts was christened in this very place - this might have been the Holy Saturday, 14th April 966. And here Mieszko the First - Poland's first duke set up a fortified town; in 968 the first bishopric was founded and the first cathedral built. And there are multiple examples of great historical moments as well as of rich and diversified heritage.

The Roman times are most clearly visible upon the Wielkopolska's Piast Route. Gothic is mainly demonstrated in sacral buildings including the Cathedral in Poland's first capital city - Gniezno as well as the Poznan Cathedral located in the heart of Wielkopolska Region. Poznan City Hall is the crown jewel of Renaissance, Baroque in its genuine regional form is best visible in the monastery assemblies in Gostyn and Lad as well as in Poznan's Parish Church and Rydzyn Castle. A very important symbol of our history - wooden sacral and secular architecture cannot be neglected either; there is Poland's only wood-made City Hall in Sulmierzyce and the remnants of Holländer architecture in the Nowy Tomyśl area.
