Włodek Pawlik's Trio. The Grammy winner performs at Targi Kielce Jazz Festival Memorial to Miles
The 21st Memorial to Miles Festival has been organised by Targi Kielce and the Kielce Cultural Centre; again the event promises to be outstanding. Diversity is is DAN too. This artists' milieus includes the legendary Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, Marek Pospieszalski's octet, the English Yazz Ahmed Quartet, the Skalpel duo, Dorota Miśkiewicz and the Brazilian guitarist Toninho Horta, as well as Włodek Pawlik - a pianist and composer, winner of the 2014 Grammy Award for the album "Night In Calisia".
The artist who comes from Kielce was the first Pole to receive one of the most important awards of the American entertainment industry.
Włodek Pawlik's achievements includes dozens of original albums, a number of works of film and theatre music, orchestral compositions, ballet music, opera, cantata, two piano concertos, and vocal works. A characteristic feature of his work is his exceptional ease and naturalness with which he uses various techniques in composing music.
During the concert in Kielce, he will be accompanied by a bassist Damian Kostka and a drummer Cezary Konrad.
The Włodek Pawlik Trio will perform on Sunday, 24 September at 6 pm on the Grand Concert Hall of the Kielce Cultural Center. At 8 p.m., the Marek Pospieszalski Octet will perform.
