Spectacular product launches. Eight companies win accolades. The Autostrada New Infrastructure in a redesigned format expo goes down in history.
"Kielce is a special place for the road construction industry" - this is what experts emphasised at the 27th Infrastructure Construction Expo. The event hosted 54 companies from Poland, Malaysia, Germany and Sweden, in addition to product presentations, there were premieres and innovations galore.
– Now, there are over 5,100 kilometres of expressways in Poland, roads of the highest standard. Kielce is a special place on Poland's map when it comes to infrastructure expos and knowledge. The Autostrada New Infrastructure Expo enjoys a renowned position - emphasised Grzegorz Dziedzina, deputy general director of National Roads and Motorways, when speaking at the gala opening.
- This is Autostrada-New Infrastructure Expo’s 27th unveiling Everything has changed in Poland over 27 years. 27 years ago there were only 520 kilometers of expressways in Poland. This year, 144 kilometers will be added to the network, showing the scale of changes – added Andrzej Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce.
Therefore, the road construction expo could not miss modern technologies that drive the industry and open new opportunities for contractors. The Autostrada Expo was the place to see offers of manufacturers. The extensive expo scope included bridge construction equipment, semi-trailers and trailers, construction machines and economical street lighting. There are also numerous equipment rental offers. Excavators, cranes, and measuring devices were offered. Numerous debates and lectures bougth together industry experts who discussed expanding the road network in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, implementing modern solutions on Polish construction sites, and safety on roads and during road-works.
The honorary patrons of the event was granted by the Ministry of Infrastructure, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Road Construction Industry, the Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Polish Association of Construction Industry Employers, the Chief Labour Inspector.
Product launch at the AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA expo
KH-KIPPER presented a truck that may alter the Polish road construction industry; W1RB is a completely failure-free and durable mine dumper. The truck body operation is supported by artificial intelligence. – This dump truck is designed to work in mines. Made of Hardox 500 TUF wear-resistant steel and equipped with HYVA hydraulics, the dump truck is designed to work in 24/7 shifts – said Łukasz Karczewski, commercial director of KH-KIPPER, during the product presentation. A Brigade camera at the back of the dump truck has been mounted to show the driver what is behind the vehicle and detect blind zones. The cameras detect and recognise a human figure in a defined area and warn the driver visually and/or acoustically of a possible collision.
PTM POLSKA presented the PBRP35 bunker conveyor with a CF moving floor and a hydraulic power supply; PBRP35 is designed to work with any type of bulk cargo, including PET, foil, waste paper, aluminium and RDF. The bunker conveyor offers 100% reliability and low operating costs. Moreover, the manufacturer has enabled full-scope service access to the drive even when fully loaded.
Medals and awards for the best technologies
The innovative products presented at the road construction expo cannot go unnoticed by the Jury Panel. Awards were presented at the gala ceremony: Aebi Schmidt Group Polska for the Flexigo 150 multifunctional sweeper and the Tarron HP snow plough; Kaliński - exhaust systems for the regeneration service of SCR catalytic converters (cartridges replacement); PTM Polska for the PBRP35 bunker conveyor with a CF moving floor and a hydraulic power supply; KH-KIPPER for the W1RB mine development - a comprehensive transport solution. TARGI KIELCE TOP DESIGN - Distinctions for elegance and innovative exhibition presentation style went to Agro-Sieć Maszyny, Mega - a plant producing commercial vehicles and steel structures, Recykl - a recovery organisation. VOLVO race
The event agenda was enhanced to include an extraordinary iron horse race. Volvo race witnessed 19 drivers, including one representative of the fairer sex. A VOLVO FH 6x2 with a body was the racing horse on the over 100-meter obstacle track. The drivers were supossed to drive over the board with all the truck axles, knoc over a selected cone, eights-shaped turns, backwards parking in the garage. The jury panel assessed not only the manoeuvres’ correctness - it was the race against time. The winner received PLN 1,500, the runner up winner received PLN 1,000, and the third-place winner received PLN 500.
Autostrada and Ekotech – clustered for the first time
The Ekotech International Environmental Protection and Waste Management Expo - the communal business sector expo was held simultaneously with the Autostrada expo in the Kielce exhibition and congress centre. This is the first-time combination of these expos in the history of the Kielce exhibition and congress centre. The experts emphasised, this sluster has a proven to be a great success:
– These two areas - ecology and the road industry seem separate, but they have a lot in common. In the last decade, gigantic technological progress has been made in the world and Europe in waste processing in road construction. This ecological progress is also Poland’s experience; knowledge is widespread not only in research but also in academic and teaching centers. Contracting companies already have this knowledge; in recent years, they have also made quite significant investments in the latest technologies – mentioned Przemysław Klonowski, President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Road Construction Industry.
Industry insiders visit Targi Kielce
The Autostrada New Infrastructure Expo and the Ekotech International Environmental Protection and Waste Management Expo hosted almost 3,000 industry visitors. The guests list included representatives of municipal, provincial and district road authorities, companies providing contracting services and investors.
