ABOUT US
The company's history dates back to 1931. The very first production of the well known spread PALI was launched in September 1984. The best-selling spaghetti sauce in Slovakia, MORCA-DELLA was created in March 1985. TATRAKON is the largest canning company in Slovakia without the foreign direct investment, situated right under the High Tatras. At the beginning of 2020, TATRAKON completed the construction of a new production area in the district of Poprad, and moved to a brand new factory. Relocation brought the improvement of logistics within the entire production, the expansion of production capacities, and the possibility of progress as well.
PORTFOLIO
The assortment includes meat cans, vegan spreads, fish products and ready meals. The company portfolio comprises of more than 120 types of products. The TATRAKON's most sold products include spreads as Pali delicacy, Bôčiková spread or a well-known Morca-della spaghetti sauce. In addition to classic products, one can find premium series in the company assortment. The company has in the last year re-invested considerate amounts of money to modernise the production facilities, improve the technological process and to innovate production.
CERTIFICATES AND AWARDS
Upon accession to the European Union the company met strict requirements and was assigned an identification number SK611ES for purposes of production of pasteurised and sterilised meat products. The company TATRAKON became the winner of the fifth year Family-Friendly Employer 2005 competition, and in 2007 the company was awarded by The National Award of the Slovak Republic for quality according to EFQM Excellence Model. In 2019, the company won the international Best Buy Award in the category “spreads” for the best price – quality ratio. In 2021 and 2022, the company received the Superbrands award based on the history, innovation, products and commitment of all those who built the brand. TATRAKON holds the IFS certificate (International Food Safety) ver. 7.
