The 10th NECROEXPO broke all records
Classic and modern coffins and urns, software for funeral parlours, urns and many other products featured at the 10th International Funeral and Cemetery Fair. The 10th NECROEXPO hosted over 2,000 visitors, meeting 127 exhibitors who presented their products! There were also accompanying events abundance; fringe events were widely reported in the press and media. The Timed Grave Digging Competition and the Fashion Show for Funeral Home Employees made it into the main news.
– NECROEXPO brings together the entire industry; regardless of conflicts or everyday competition, the whole funeral sector unites at Targi Kielce. We come here to present new products, establish business contacts, and much more - celebrate the industry’s development. We can already report that Poland is Europe’s absolute leader. We are perhaps even ranked in the world’s forefront when it comes to quality and technology – said one of the expo exhibitors. For almost 20 years, this event has been a broad platform for presenting the latest possibilities, technologies and trends in funeral services. The latest, tenth expo followed this path.
Exhibitors from 5 countries presented their offers, and showcased new products in front of the global audience! Silenta presented urnomats, i.e. parcel lockers for collecting urns! The expo halls also featured memorial jewellery made using ashes, gaments for funeral parlour staff, and accessories for thanatocosmetics.

Targi Kielce NECROEXPO agenda included 26 lectures and meetings with experts. A lawyer and long-time local government employee, Doctor Mariusz Strawiński, lectured industry insiders at NECROEXPO and refered to "Protection of personal rights and data of deceased persons. The funeral parlours’ and cemetery managers’ rights and obligations”. The expert explained the basic issues regarding the protection of the deceased's personal rights. The Master of Funeral Ceremonies, Patrycja Owczarzak, chaired the meeting on non-obvious but valuable elements of the service offered by a master of funeral ceremonies, which strongly support families. Such servies are also invaluable competitive advantage for companies.
Timed grave digging competition and fashion show
The International time-trial competition in grave-digging was also held during NECROEXPO; the Hungarian team triumphed. They completed the task in the shortest time, winning against teams from Slovakia and Poland. The exciting competition attracted the attention of both exhibitors and visitors; the graves were assessed by an international jury, which paid attention to: digging technique, accuracy, time, aesthetics and filling. The winners received a commemorative statuette, but they also gained international recognition!
The Carmen company, which has been associated with the Necroexpo for almost twenty years, presents new collections of suits and suits for funeral home workers; the fashion show is held at every expo. The exhibitor presented fashionable, but also comfortable jackets, trousers and suits made of high-quality materials at this year's even.
NECROEXPO attracted the attention of not only hundreds of visitors but also national media, such as Rzeczpospolita daily, Fakt daily TVN24, TTV, Gazeta Wyborcza daily Polsat, and TVP. Targi Kielce also featured the award-winning documentary by the Polish-Lithuanian director Vita Maria Drygas. NECROEXPO inspired her to start working on a new project regarding the funeral industry.
