THE NEW INFRASTRUCTURE EXPO FEATURES THE BUSINESS MEETINGS
The Road and Bridge Maintenance Forum was one of the accompanying events to the Infrastructure Construction Expo, the show organised in Targi Kielce for the first time; the forum brought together entities interested in the year-round maintenance of municipal, poviat, voivodeship and national roads, entrepreneurs and road managers. Not only were the most important problems of the industry and challenges analysed. Also the state legislation and the new ordinance of the Ministry of Infrastructure were put in the limelight. Furthermore, the expo was enhanced by competing with the best snowplough operators who competed in the so-called "Road rodeo". The outdoor area of 5,000 square meters welcomed 15 contestants, who tried their hand at three disciplines: precise driving, precise braking or slalom, which culminates with a shot at the goal.
One of the events held within the expo scope of the Targi Kielce expo was the Aggregate Exhibition, the showroom which dates back to 2012. This is a must-see event in the Ne Infrastructure expo's family. The Aggregate Exhibition - a cyclical event targeted at companies, and research institutions. The event integrates actors of the broadly defined aggregates business sector which ranges from acquisition and mining through processing, transport and use. The debate discussed the requirements, the latest standards and regulations applicable for aggregate producers and road contractors. The problem of alkaline reactivity of aggregates was also in the limelight. The meeting was also an opportunity to learn about the experiences of aggregate producers and road contractors to date.
New Infrastructure also abounded in industry seminars; the first was held under the banner of "Local government-managed concrete roads - a response to the future requirements". The advantages of concrete pavements both in the construction of national and local roads were presented. On the second day of the trade fair, the seminar "Comfortable and durable bicycle routes in Poland and around the world - from concept to implementation" was held; the meeting devoted to, inter alia, solutions designed to improve the safety of bicycle routes, construction of a bicycle routes network and personal transport devices, as well as designing bicycle paths
The New Infrastructure trade fair program also included a scientific and technical conference on "Świętokrzyskie routes - experience, innovation, safety". The meeting brought together road managers, contractors from road companies, design offices and local governments. The conference related to the implementation tasks and investments on the Świętokrzyskie roads and issues related to road engineering innovations and pro-ecological technologies of road renovation and reconstruction.

This year's New Infrastructure, Advanced Robotic Engineering, presented the ARE 1.0 demolition robot equipped with a hybrid drive that can operate without an external power source. The robot we showcase here is mainly used in industrial facilities - steel mills and cement plants. It has been designed for the demolition of linings, as well as for demolition and reconstruction works inside buildings. ARE robots are designed and manufactured in Poland; they can work 24 hours a day. It is evident that industrial demolitions include the time factor which is of key importance.
