Falling Dart Impact Tester for Films

Before starting the test, choose test method, and estimate an initial mass and Δm. Start the test. If the first specimen fails, decrease the mass of the falling dart by Δm. If the first specimen is not a failure, increase the mass of the falling dart by Δm. Continue the test according to this rule. In brief, increase or decrease by Δm according to whether the former specimen is a failure or not. After 20 specimens, calculate the total number of failed specimens N. If N equals to 10, the test is over. If N is less than 10, add specimens and continue to test until N equals to 10. If N is greater than 10, add specimen and continue the test until the number of non-failure specimens reaches 10. Pendulum Impact Tester (Izod, Charpy, Tensile impact)

Impact testing is used to determine material behavior at higher deformation speeds. AHP offers a wide range of pendulum Charpy/Izod impact testers for tests according to the relevant test standards. These pendulum Izod/Charpy impact testers cover a range from 0.5 Joules to 50 Joules for plastics testing. These are available with digital touch displays and with a range of different options especially made for your tests (e.g. tensile impact tests for UPVC profiles, ….).

High Pressure OIT Tester ( HPOIT , HP OIT )

The mechanical properties of a polyethylene (PE) cuspated sheet or PE polymer geosynthetic are degraded by oxidation over time at operational temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C. It is a chain reaction that can be initiated by energy sources such as heat or UV radiation during and after the construction of a facility. Stabilizers can be added to polyethylene to prevent oxidation, by intercepting the oxidation reaction of the polymer. There are many types of stabilizers, as discussed later in this Technical Note. Using a well-designed stabilizer, no degradation should occur until all of the stabilizer has been consumed. Stabilizers are reactive by nature and are also strongly affected by the surrounding air, water or other chemicals, which extract the stabilizer from the extruded sheet, often at a much faster rate than they are consumed in the process of oxidation protection.
