TRANSEXPO - the top-ranking trade show
This year's International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO was an absolute success; the three-day exhibition co-organised by the Economic Chamber of Municipal Transport attracted almost 5000 visitors.
Over 8 thousand square meters of surface, 107 exhibitors from 7 countries presented new products - 54 vehicles. The agenda abounded with premieres, conferences and countless business meetings. The Kielce event lived up to the industry insiders' expectations. . The first day of the expo abounded with events and premieres. The press conference arranged by the Solaris Bus & Coach featured the bus that recently won the title of "Bus of the Year 2025" – the hydrogen Solaris Urbino 18 hydrogen. At the Kielce conference, Solaris also provided the latest information on its presence on the European market. The long-awaited premiere of the Pilea 12 E electric bus was staged at the ARP E-VEHICLES expo stand precisely at 12:45. The Pilea 12 E in the "without tower" version is one of the most important events of this year's trade fair, and it attracted the attention of both experts and enthusiasts of urban transport. Autobagi Polska, the representative of the BMC brand in Poland, presented three bus models with the exhibition's highlight - the premiere of the electric model BMC Procity 12 M Electric. This fully electric, 12-meter vehicle debuted on the Polish market. The unveiling was one of the key events of this year's fair. The model was world-premiered earlier at the Busworld 2023 show but has now been officially introduced to Poland. This year MAN presented a very impressive expo stand and the models presented range included a low-emission bus with a very large capacity for public transport - MAN Lion's City 18 CNG, intended for the Kraków branch of Mobili. Z zero-emission technology in a compact, 10-meter version - MAN Lion's City 10E from MPK Kraśnik; a double-decker Neoplan Skyliner coach branded with the Silesian Bomatur company was honored with the prestigious "Polski Bus 2023" award. A MAN Lion's Coach, MY24 tourist bus, prepared in accordance with the latest requirements in safe passenger transport was also presented. The exhibition of the ARTHUR BUS brand also enjoyed great interest among the visitors, including the hydrogen bus, which appeared on the streets of Świdnik right after the trade fair.
TRANSEXPO puts collective transport at the top of the priorities list
Traditionally, on the eve of the International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO, a Technical Conference was held. The IGKM CHAMBER OF URBAN TRANSPORT Rolling Stock Commission co-organised the session. Lots of interesting topics were discussed at the symposium, including binding legal acts related to public transport. The transport conference was held within the scope pf the 16th TRANSEXPO in Targi Kielce. The Polish Vehicle Transport and Forwarding Chamber of Commerce from Warsaw, which celebrates its 30 anniversary this year, also had its conference within the expo's scope.
People distinguished in public transport gain awards
On the first day of TRANSEXPO, the expo awarding ceremony was held. The best products and the most spectacular trade fair presentations were recognised. For the first time in history, "Polish Bus of the Year 2023" and "Bus Guru 2023" prizes were awarded by the transino.pl portal. Awards were bestowed on modern bus manufacturers and on people who made an exceptional contribution to the development of public transport in Poland. The winners of the millieu included Barbara Langner, former director of MZK Zielona Góra, who was responsible for the development of electric transport in the city. Wiesław Cieśla – for many years he managed the sales department at Jelczańskie Zakłady Samochodowe, and later at Solaris. Cieśla introduced innovative electric buses. Andrzej Jaworski – a pioneer of bus sales, introduced DAB and Scania buses to the Polish market. Krzysztof Knapik – managed public transport facilities in Sosnowiec and Bielsko-Biała, introducing modern solutions. Laszlo Rakasz – managed the sales of Ikarus, MAN and Evobus buses, primarily introducing large-capacity buses to the Polish market. Eugeniusz Szymonik – public transport visionary, founder of Rapit, a former president of Mobilis. Wojciech Tulibacki – long-time president of MPK Poznań, who revolutionised public transport in Poznań by investing in a modern bus fleet.
