Fabricated from welded steel wire mesh and non-woven polypropylene geotextile, expeditionary barriers have been used globally for more than 25 years. Protecting personnel and critical infrastructure as well as to create forward operating bases, accommodation units, overhead protection systems and defensive fighting positions.
Delivered flat packed for optimal logistic efficiency, expeditionary barrier systems are constructed with minimal manpower and can be filled with locally sourced materials to create a continuous wall offering robust protection from blast and ballistic threats.
Assembled from industry leading raw materials, DIRICKX Systems’ suppliers have many years’ experience in the manufacture of expeditionary barriers.
Horstman is the original hydro-pneumatic InArm® designer. Developed initially for the UK MOD’s Tracer and US Army’s FCS programmes, it’s design eliminate the need for torsion bars and the associated blast fragmentation effect and eliminates road arm penetration of the vehicle hull.
The suspension uses high-pressure nitrogen gas and an integral oil damper that are all contained within the road arm. Designed as the most efficient packaging space solution, InArm® provides a growth path to advanced variable damping, lock-out and ride height management systems. It is now fielded on Hunter IFV, Booker M10, M88A3 and Borsuk IFV.
