POLSECURE (23-25.04.2024)
3rd International Expo POLSECURE
About the event
POLSECURE 2024 - international, knowledge-packed and spectacular!
The third POLSECURE has once again proven to be the right event for services responsible for public safety and security in our country. The exhibition hosted almost 6,000 visitors.
Polsecure offered an excellent opportunity to learn about the offer of companies specialising in the production of special equipment, personal protective equipment, rescue equipment, software for communication, command and control, food rations for officers and entire forensic laboratories, to name some of the expo's areas.
The expo commenced with the official opening ceremony, which was graced with the presence of guests of honour, including Chief Commander of Police Marek Boroń, who spoke at the ceremony:
- Targi Kielce is an excellent platform for exchanging experiences and practices between services that work for safety, security, and public order.
The event hosted 143 exhibitors from 13 countries, and the exhibition was visited by 31 foreign delegations from 12 countries.
The POLSECURE expo's knowledge pack
The International Police Conference was a multi-faceted event. The use of EU funds by the Polish police was discussed on the first expo day. Examples of the use of European funds were discussed by inspectors - Mariusz Żurawski, director of the Police Logistics Office; inspector Piotr Pogorzelski, deputy director of the Communications and IT Office of the Police Headquarters and inspector Mariusz Kudela, deputy commander of the Central Police Investigation Bureau. There were also very topical discussions related to cybercrime. Representatives of the Police Headquarters, the Marshal's Office of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, and companies dealing with cybersecurity discussed security measures and strategies as response to hackers' attacks. The conference organised by the Office of Communications and ICT at the Police Headquarters attracted ICT specialists from institutions dealing with personal data processing, BIG DATA and many others. Threats resulting from Artificial Intelligence were also discussed. The expo's agenda included the lecture "Police - employer of choice". On the last expo day, several hundred students from uniformed schools met with officers of various Police units. "I think it's worth wearing a Polish policeman's uniform; this is the source of immense satisfaction. I feel this satisfaction every day," said the superintendent when meeting the youth. Roman Kuster, Deputy Police Commander in Chief.
Dynamic shows presentations - an essential element of the safety and security expo
Dynamic show presentations always catch the guests' interest. The representatives of various uniformed services put the best foot forward in live presentations in controlled conditions. Officers from the Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police, the Prison Service and firefighters presented their skills during dynamic shows; they used realistic explosions, specialised equipment and a tactical dog. There were shots, fire and casualties.
A minibus accident. Several fatalities, and mutilated bodies. The show's viewers at Targi Kielce see it as a blood-curdling spectacle. CLKP officers find it everyday work. Dynamic shows presented the body-identifying process after a traffic accident; the incident scene was secured. The bodies were recovered in accordance with INTERPOL procedures. A mobile mortuary was the place to examine the bodies and collect personal data
The Prison Service Intervention Group had an equally terrifying task; an inmate was convoyed when one of the vehicles suddenly broke down. The vehicle and the area were secured, and a spare prisoner transport vehicle was called to the scene. While moving a prisoner from a broken vehicle to a spare one, the inmate, seeing that he is free, tries to escape... With the help of a tactical dog, the prisoner is arrested, but this is not the end of the story. Armed criminals attack the convoy, shots are fired and one of the attackers, shot in the leg, falls limply to the ground. The other gives up without a fight. Prison Service officers overpower the men and take them to the police station.
The dynamic show on the square next to the Kielce exhibition halls also featured firefighters who were called to an accident scene; there are two passenger cars, including one electric car. As a result of the accident, three people are injured: the driver of the electric vehicle leaves the vehicle untouched and then falls on the road; the driver and passenger of the other passenger vehicle are trapped in the car, lying on its roof. Sounds dangerous? After a while, the electric vehicle's battery catches fire.
